1. Experiment: Absorption and transmission
Place a thick glass slab (or a stack of glass slabs) on the overhead projector and watch the light square projected on the wall.
What do you see where the glass slabs are?
Touch the glass slabs. What do you feel?
Explain your observations in terms of transmission and absorption.
2. Windows' reflection and transmission |
When you sit inside in a lighted room and look at the window when it is dusk outside, you will see the outside environment (the garden, street or whatever) and at the same time you will see an image of yourself and the room.
Explain this in terms of transmission and reflection.
