Worksheet for work in pairs or groups

We categorise private tourism …

Depending on the size of the class, work in pairs or form groups of three or four people. Each pair or group receives from the teacher 5 – 10 different travel cards. Each of the cards has a number.

Look through all of your travel cards. Before you think over different criteria in the group, sort them first in your personal order of preference and note the numbers of the three travel options you like most.

Factor analysis

On each card you can carry out a factor analysis at the bottom of the card. Six fields are free in order to give marks for the following factors potentially influencing the decision of a tourist to go on a certain trip. For each of the factors give marks from one to five. 1 means that this aspect will not have a positive influence on the decision of the average tourist. 5 means, that this factor has a strong positive influence on the decision.

Now discuss with your partner or in the group. Consider tourists with different interests and in different age groups and agree on a mark for each factor.
