Coffee in the wind

Katja is sitting in the big deck-chair in her parents' backgarden. It is Saturday, no school, the sun is shining, scorchinging! She is delving into her favourite book when her nose signals "coffee alarm". Katja likes chocolate but not coffee. But everywhere it smells like coffee, although it is definitely not yet coffee time.

Katja is complaining a bit but she knows that she cannot change anything. There is a coffee producing plant not far away in the industrial area next to the harbour. That is what mum said.

Katja closes the book and runs up the stairs. Claus, her nephew, is visiting them. Katja likes Claus. Now he doesn't visit the family very much because he is working in a research centre in Italy. He would like to become a doctor - but not a medic - strange thing. But Claus certainly knows how to talk about interesting things.

2. Katja is entering the kitchen ...

“Hi” says Katja entering the kitchen. “I am back. It's coffee in the wind again and it smells awful. Why couldn't they install the plant elsewhere? Who decides these things?”
Claus looks up. “It's all a question of town planning. Do you know where the plant is and where the wind is coming from?”
Katja raises her eyebrows. “No idea.”
“Well, let's have a look to see if the plant is built at a reasonable location.” Claus goes with Katja to the computer...
