Have you noticed that our satellite image of the Northern hemisphere is distorted?

For those of you studying geography, see whether you can answer the following questions about map projections.

Click on the GREEN button for YES, and on the RED button for NO!

Is this an azimuthal projection, typical for the presentation of polar regions?

Is this a conical projection, typical for the presentation of mid-latitudes?

Is this a cylindrical projection, typical for the presentation of regions around a meridan?

Are the meridans in an azimuthal projection arranged like circles?

Are the meridians in a conical projection shaped like rectangles?

Are the meridians in a cylindrical projection arranged like squares?

Do the polar regions in a cylindrical projection appear much larger than they actually are?
